IAS is connected to other East Asia-related instutions at Charles University.
Since its foundation in early 1990s, CCK-ISC supports academic exchanges in Sinology, including through an irregular Sinological Seminar and intensive lecture courses by foremost China specialistis on various topics. Being the European headquarters of the Chiang Ching-Kuo Foundation, CCK-ISC also distributes grants to Europe-based researchers, selected by an international governing board. CCK-ISC also financially supports publication of books on China and translations of Chinese literature in Czech.
Established in 2013, this Institute is part of a network of 113 centres worldwide funded by the Republic of Korea. The Prague branch specializes in teaching of Korean language and culture and holds events to further Czech-Korean relations and increase mutual understanding.
